My last post was all dang I feel crappy and need to take some mondo vitamins. Well, I've been hitting the Vitamin D (50,000 IUs/week) and the B-12 (1,000mcg/day).
Results?
Better, like way better. I seriously thought I was going to need a mood stabilizer there for awhile, but I have made some kind of turn around. Who knew? I never would have thought the blues could be tied into vitamin deficiency.

| Hey buddies. |
Good things? Getting my veggies back in, in a BIG way. I had a little struggle with being a responsible vegetarian and I was reverting to the lazy "cheese pizza" vegetarian which was not helping my energy levels.
I finally got to see my beloved Flaherty again! Yesterday we ran 4 cold and windy miles. I finished the day with some Hatha yoga done along side my husband. Truth be told, he is way better at yoga than me, but I'll get there. SOMEDAY my heels will hit my mat in downward dog. We want to try and make yoga a nightly ritual since it is so relaxing and invigorating.

See shit is already turning around in my neck of the woods. Exercising, eating veggies and badass concert tickets. Well played 2013, well played.
Do you get abnormally excited by concerts like I do? I almost feel like the zest for contemporary music has died, but damnit I'm bringing it back.
xo,
falon

I haven't been to a concert in YEARS! I love them but I have such a problem with paying so much to go and see them. I would rather buy new running shoes. I am not doing any marathons this year either only halfs and shorter.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness - I'm so old. I haven't been to a concert in such a long time...and worse yet - I'm asleep before most concerts start! I'm pathetic. It's amazing what vitamins do to help us feel better!!! Way to go taking them girl!!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh I want to run with you and Lisa again! It's been far too long.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better lately. Mid-winter blahs are bad enough without a vitamin deficiency on top.
OK. I have a confession. Kim got me hooked on the Thrift Shop song last weekend. I've only played it 1 billion times since.
I'm glad you're feeling better! Keep up the veggie consumption! (I'll try to as well...I've been eating lots of chocolate instead, but I'm trying to switch back).
ReplyDeleteBout time you blogged. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see you're feeling better. Ruts SUXOR! I am just coming out of one. That thing you said about being a lazy cheese vegetarian? I struggle with this with my vegetarian daughter all the time. So good on you for getting back on the plant train and making it exciting. I know you can cuz I salivate over your food pics.
I used to get excited about concerts more when I was younger. I go to them rarely now, since I'm old and I get grumpy about people "ruining the music" with drug shenanigans and stuff. I prefer small, intimate venues of my true loves.
Moving always makes things better. Just keep moving. :)
Dude, your pep is harshing out my depressed mood. Cut it out, ok?
ReplyDeleteI kid, sort of. Come up to WI and we can have a group hug and bottle pep out of wine and endorphins and board games and never run low again?
Crazy how some vitamins can actually improve life, right? I love that you two do yoga together. Cute. Sickening, but cute. :)
ReplyDeleteYay, glad the vitamins made you feel so much better. Allan and I have been doing yoga in the mornings together lately and it's so fun. There are some poses I'm better at and others he is much better at so it's always interesting.
