I got up, ate a banana and decided to do a quick three miles. The mother-in-law and I are headed out of town in a few hours, but with a lovely treadmill in the comfort of my own basement, there was plenty of time to get a run in. Did I mention it is cold and rainy here too? Okay, I'm already in love with the convenience of the thing and I actually spent some time warming up and cooling down which is important and pretty much always overlooked.
| Don't forget to breathe! I promise no bodies are being stored in my unfinished basement. It looks less scary in person. hee hee |
3 miles, 28:50
I usually feel like superman on my in-laws treadmill, but that could be because it is old. The ole ProForm gave me a run for my money and I think it is going to make speed training a wholeee lot smoother.

Anyway, I am relieved and overjoyed to have chosen a non-piece-of-crap treadmill. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to calibrate the speed, but other than that... no complaints. It is pretty quiet, the touch screen works well and I love the buttons to instantly jump speed and incline.
Alrighy, I better shower and pack since I'm supposed to be leaving in ummm 90 minutes. Have a sweet Saturday, friends!

ps: My cat because this is my blog and I can.
Yay for getting your treadmill put together and working! So jealous I would love to have one in my creepy basement!
ReplyDeletecongrat's
ReplyDeleteTotally jealous - I am getting ready to head out the door in the drizzle . . . but relatively warm 51 degrees for a couple miles . . . got to keep the streak going!
Great job logging those miles!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my treadmill, suppose to come in early next week! Then we can be treadmill twins!
ReplyDeleteThe only bad thing about owning a treadmill is the massive cash you spend updating your movie library!
ReplyDeleteDoing some catching up after being MIA because of the Thanksgiving holiday...
ReplyDelete1- Yay! Treadmill! I totally don't think you should have fixed the incline and just run downhill all the time :). Glad it's in working order.
2- Apple crisp is my favorite dessert. Where's mine?
3- HOW DID I NOT HEAR ABOUT THIS STREAKING THING UNTIL TONIGHT???!!! I think I'm going to have to get on board starting Monday. I need help! Missed another long run this week. Yikes.
My parent's cat Ivy always puts her feet into people's shoes like that! I swear she has a shoe fetish. She sleeps on them and sticks her face into stinky boots.
ReplyDeleteSo happy the treadmill is up and running. Do you love it? What happened to dad-in-law putting it together? (I told you it was a bitch)
I really don't like running on a treadmill, but I'm most likely going to have to get used to it this winter. Unfortunately I don't have one of my own but the gym will do unless the weather is really bad.
ReplyDeleteYour cat is adorable!
Hahahah - kitty in the shoe is so cute :). Nice job on the treadmill run and getting a GOOD treadmill! I heart my treadmill and not sure I could get in half the miles without it!
ReplyDeleteCan you email me and let me know your mailing address for the blog gift exchange? I can't find your email address. Thanks! :)

Was just browsing treadmill posts and found yours. Good work with the treadmill. I wanted to comment even though I don't know you because I was on treadmillsensei.com the other day and saw this very cool I heart my treadmill button. I followed it to treadmillreviews.com and they have a code you can copy and paste for your own site. Since you seem to heart your treadmill like I heart mine, figured you could take advantage of it, button looks pretty cool.
